William Leaming has been on staff at Mt. Grant General Hospital since September, 1994 after graduating from MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program, University of Washington School of Medicine.

 

Mr. Leaming began his medical career as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician in Mound House, Nevada and changed career paths when he went to work for Carson Tahoe Hospital as an x-ray clerk, and later working in the Emergency Department. While working at Carson Tahoe, Mr. Leaming initially began his nursing studies at WNCC but after his activation and subsequent discharge from Operation Desert Storm as an ER Combat Medic, he decided to change his area of study. “I realized that I would be happier having more of a direct impact on the management of patient’s health.”

 

Mr. Leaming has one son, Joshua who lives in Dayton, Nevada. An avid reader, he enjoys reading to children at the elementary school. He also enjoys outdoor activities and travel.
