Clinic Medical Assistant
Mt. Grant General Hospital is accepting applications for the full-time position of Medical Assistant/Float in a busy Physicians’ office. The Medical Assistant will perform such duties as greet and check patients in to the exam room, update information and obtain vitals, assist physician as needed including minor surgical procedures, immunizations, injections, run minor lab procedures, prepare and update the patient’s chart, and scan and file reports.  This position will also fill in for other staff as needed and will be cross-trained as a Clinic Receptionist.
Individual must have a minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a medical setting, preferably as a Medical Assistant. Strong medical office skills such as experience with injections, vitals, coding, billing, and referrals are desired. Applicant must have strong organizational skills and ability to multitask, possess computer skills, work well with the public and other staff members, be dependable and a self starter.   Per NRS 449 and NRS 200.5091, successful applicant(s) must pass required state and federal background checks.
